Nick Cave was born Nicholas Edward Cave on 22 September 1957 in Warracknabeal, Victoria, Australia. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he has established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in alternative rock, blending post-punk, gothic rock, blues, folk and art rock with deeply literary songwriting.
