Joy Division, originally named Warsaw, consisted of singer Ian Curtis, guitarist and keyboardist Bernard Sumner, bass player Peter Hook, and drummer Stephen Morris. The band's name was taken from ‘Warsawa’ a composition written by David Bowie and Brian ENO.
Side 1 of this album captures Warsaw's electrifying performance at the Rock Garden in Middlesbrough, on 14 September 1977, while side 2 features highlights from Joy Division's iconic Unknown Pleasures Tour at The Factory, Manchester, on 28 September 1979.
