The Specials live at Coventry Cathedral in July 2019.

In the summer of 2019, The Specials returned to their hometown of Coventry for four unforgettable homecoming performances at the atmospheric ruins of Coventry Cathedral, playing on 9, 10, 11 and 12 July as part of their Encore 40th Anniversary Tour. With around 8,000 fans attending across the four sold-out nights, the shows were a hugely emotional celebration of the band's Coventry roots and their extraordinary contribution to the 2 Tone movement. Fronted by Terry Hall, alongside Lynval Golding and Horace Panter, The Specials delivered a career-spanning set packed with iconic favourites including Gangsters, Rat Race, Too Much Too Young, A Message to You Rudy, Nite Klub, Monkey Man and Ghost Town, alongside newer material from their 2019 album Encore. Against the dramatic backdrop of the bombed-out cathedral ruins, these very special hometown performances captured The Specials at a remarkable point in their history and have since become regarded as some of the most memorable shows of their later career.
