Supertramp’s Breakfast in America Tour of 1979 was a landmark chapter in the band’s career, following the phenomenal success of their sixth studio album, Breakfast in America. Beginning in the spring of 1979, the extensive world tour took the British progressive rock group across North America and Europe, performing to huge audiences and showcasing their polished blend of progressive rock, pop and sophisticated songwriting. With elaborate staging and the band at the height of their creative and commercial powers, the tour helped establish Supertramp as one of the biggest live acts of the late 1970s.
