Give Peace A Chance is the benefit album released to raise much needed funds for the many Ukrainian families driven from their homes, who, thanks to the kindness of the people of West Sussex, have found sanctuary in Chichester, where our fulfilment centre is based. £5 from the sale each CD sold goes straight to help the Ukrainian families.
Give Peace A Chance features a powerful series of songs each of which is a unique take on the music of the Beatles concerning themes of loss and peace.
The lead single from the album is a powerful version of the John Lennon song Give Peace A Chance a heartfelt plea for peace and an end to the madness of war. This wonderful creation is a collaboration performed by the recording artists Sinfӧnicca along with people of Sussex and the Volya Choir.
The Volya Choir, is a Ukrainian Choir conducted by Irena Voyt, formed by the ladies fleeing from Putin’s war currently based in Chichester and the surrounding towns who were driven from their homes by Putin.
The album also features Sinfӧnicca performing Bountiful Day, a symphonic rock version of the traditional Ukrainian folk song Shchedryk, known in English as ‘The Little Swallow’. Shchedryk is a shchedrivka, or New Year’s song, which encapsulates a message of hope for a better future with the coming spring.
