Prince live in concert at Tramps, in New York City, on 26 September 1998, during the New Power Soul Tour.

Prince’s appearance at Tramps was a legendary late-night aftershow, taking place in the early hours following his performance at Madison Square Garden. Part of the New Power Soul era, the intimate club set saw Prince and his band cut loose in front of a much smaller audience, delivering an eclectic funk-heavy performance and a string of improvisational jams. The night became particularly memorable thanks to guest appearances from Doug E. Fresh and Chaka Khan, with Prince joining Khan for performances including Higher Love, Baby I Love You and You Got the Love. Beginning around 3am and lasting well into the morning, the Tramps performance captured Prince at his most spontaneous and unpredictable - turning a post-concert party into an unforgettable funk and soul extravaganza.
