Pink Floyd delivered a fascinating and highly atmospheric performance at the BBC Paris Theatre in London on 16 July 1970, recorded for BBC Radio 1’s Sunday Concert with John Peel. Coming just weeks before the release of Atom Heart Mother, the session captures the band at a pivotal point in their evolution, blending psychedelic experimentation with the more expansive progressive sound they were developing. The set included Fat Old Sun, Green Is The Colour, Careful With That Axe, Eugene, and an early performance of the epic Atom Heart Mother, featuring the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and the John Alldis Choir.
