Genesis brought their ambitious and theatrical live show to London’s legendary Rainbow Theatre, during a pivotal period in the band’s rise to prominence. Fronted by the charismatic Peter Gabriel, whose increasingly elaborate costumes and stage performances were becoming a defining feature of the group’s concerts, Genesis delivered a dramatic set drawing heavily from the acclaimed Foxtrot and Selling England by the Pound eras. With Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Steve Hackett and Phil Collins providing the intricate musicianship behind Gabriel’s theatrical presence, the performance captured Genesis at their most adventurous, as progressive rock and storytelling combined to create an unforgettable set.
