Electric Light Orchestra – Before Blue Skies: Live 1972 (12-Inch Double Album)

Capturing ELO during their formative years, these early live radio and TV broadcast performances from 1972 showcase the band experimenting with the unique combination of rock, classical orchestration and progressive influences that would become their trademark sound.

Emerging from the musical vision of Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood, Electric Light Orchestra set out to take rock music into exciting new territory, blending electric guitars and powerful rhythms with the dramatic sounds of strings and orchestral arrangements. Before Blue Skies captures this ambitious early period, offering a compelling snapshot of the band's evolution before they achieved worldwide success.

Featuring performances of early favourites such as 10538 Overture, Nellie Takes A Bow, Queen Of The Hours and Roll Over Beethoven.
