After weeks of interviews and rehearsing with his new backing band, Bruce Springsteen invited about 300 guests and competition winners to a 'mysterious location' in Los Angeles for a special preview of his upcoming 1992-1993 World Tour, billed as 'The Dress Rehearsal'.

This album captures highlights of that performance at the Hollywood Center Studios, Los Angeles, on 5 June 1992, including the classics Born In The U.S.A and Darkness On The Edge of Town.
