AC/DC HISTORY

Formed in Sydney, Australia, in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, AC/DC became one of the most successful and influential rock bands in music history. Their straightforward, hard-hitting sound helped define hard rock and inspired generations of musicians.

The band’s early years were fronted by Bon Scott, whose charismatic vocals powered classic albums including Let There Be Rock, Powerage and Highway to Hell. Following Scott’s death in 1980, AC/DC recruited Brian Johnson and released Back In Black, a tribute to their former singer that went on to become one of the best-selling albums ever released.

Over the decades AC/DC have sold more than 200 million records worldwide and produced some of rock’s most recognisable songs, including Back In Black, Thunderstruck, You Shook Me All Night Long, Hells Bells and Highway to Hell. Their music remains a cornerstone of classic rock, and their vinyl releases continue to be highly collectible among fans and record enthusiasts.
